This page explains exactly what I'M THE RICHEST is, how it works, and the terms that govern your use of it. Please read it carefully. By creating an entry, making a payment, or otherwise using the service, you agree to everything below.
1. What this is
I'M THE RICHEST ("the Service", "we", "us") is a website that displays a single public leaderboard. Each participant chooses a public alias, a country flag, an avatar and a short message, and contributes money. The more a participant contributes, the higher their position on the leaderboard. There is no other feature, prize, unlock, or hidden mechanic.
2. Purpose and what you get
The Service exists purely for entertainment, novelty and social status. When you contribute, the only thing you receive is:
- A public position on the leaderboard reflecting your total contribution;
- A public profile (alias, country, avatar, message) that you control;
- The ability to share your position on social media.
You are not buying goods, shares, tokens, points with monetary value, a chance to win anything, or any expectation of profit, payout or return. The money you contribute is spent. It is the price of the entertainment, exactly like buying a ticket to a show.
3. How it works
- You click "Take the throne" and fill in your alias, country, avatar and message.
- You choose an amount and pay securely through our third-party payment processor.
- Once the payment is confirmed, your contribution is added to your total and the leaderboard updates in real time for everyone.
- You can contribute again at any time to climb higher. Contributions accumulate on the same profile on your device.
Rankings are shown for four periods — all-time, monthly, weekly and daily — based on when contributions were made.
4. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. You must use a payment method that legally belongs to you. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly accept payments from minors. You are responsible for ensuring that using the Service is lawful in your own country.
5. Payments & pricing
- All payments are processed by a third-party, PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
- The amount of each contribution is the amount you select at checkout, fixed and confirmed on our server before payment.
- Prices are shown in euros (€) and may include applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) where required.
- By paying, you authorise the charge and confirm that the payment method is yours.
6. Refunds policy
All contributions are final and non-refundable. Because each contribution is a digital entertainment service that is delivered and reflected on the leaderboard immediately, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you lose any right of withdrawal once your position has been updated.
We may, entirely at our own discretion and without obligation, reverse a contribution in cases of obvious technical error or proven fraud. Requesting a chargeback for a validly completed contribution may result in permanent removal from the leaderboard and a ban from the Service.
7. Not gambling, not an investment
The Service contains no element of chance. Your position is determined solely and deterministically by how much you contribute. There is no random outcome, no prize pool paid out to participants, and no possibility of winning money. Accordingly, the Service is not gambling, a lottery, a betting service, or a game of chance.
Contributions are not deposits, savings, investments, securities, crypto-assets or financial instruments. They generate no interest, dividend, yield or return, and cannot be withdrawn, redeemed or cashed out. You should never contribute money you cannot afford to lose entirely.
8. Your alias, message & conduct
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You agree not to submit any alias, message or avatar that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene or threatening;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- impersonates another person, brand or entity;
- contains personal data of others, advertising, spam, or links to harmful content.
We may remove, edit or refuse any content, and suspend any profile, at our discretion and without refund, to keep the Service lawful and respectful.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available, and we may modify or discontinue it at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Service, its operators, owners, employees or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of money, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the total amount you contributed in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence). Statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law remain unaffected.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Changes & suspension
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these terms.
These terms are governed by applicable law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
