Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the operator of I'M THE RICHEST ("we", "us"). For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, reach us via our Contact page.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Public profile: the alias, country, avatar and message you choose. This is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
- Contribution data: the amounts and timestamps of your contributions.
Information from your payment
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor that handles your card data directly; we receive only limited confirmation data (such as a transaction reference and the amount). We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- A random identifier stored in your browser (local storage) so your contributions accumulate on the same profile. This is not used for advertising.
- Basic technical data (such as IP address and device/browser information) processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers for security and to operate the Service.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the Service — display the leaderboard, process your contribution, update your rank (performance of a contract).
- To keep the Service safe — prevent fraud, abuse and money laundering, and enforce our terms (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
- To comply with the law — tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations (legal obligation).
- To communicate with you — answer support requests (legitimate interests).
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate agreements, including:
- a payment processor — to take and confirm payments;
- a database and real-time infrastructure provider — to store and update the leaderboard;
- a hosting provider — to serve the website.
We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of users. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your profile and contribution data while your profile exists on the leaderboard and as needed to operate the Service. Transaction records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically several years). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g. under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these, reach us via our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, restricted database access, and payment handling by a PCI-DSS compliant processor. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Children
The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, let us know and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the current version is always the one published here, with the date shown above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
